Overview

Trend Micro is a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, providing comprehensive protection against various online threats, including malware, ransomware, and data breaches. Their solutions are designed to safeguard businesses and individuals by offering advanced threat detection and response capabilities.

Setup

The integration of Trend Micro with Myrmex is done through an application configured in the Trend Micro management console. For the integration to occur, the user must be an administrator of the organization. Follow the steps below to complete the integration. To allow Myrmex to collect logs from your Trend Micro resources:
  • Enter tenant info
  • Generate API Credentials
  • Grant Access Permissions

Enter Tenant Info

  • Enter the Tenant ID of the Trend Micro account you want to monitor. You can obtain it by accessing the Trend Micro management console.

Generate API Credentials in Trend Micro Vision One XDR

  1. In the Trend Vision One console, go to the left sidebar menu and visit Administration > API Keys.
  2. Click Add API Key to generate a new authentication token.
  3. Specify the settings for the new API key:
    • Name: A meaningful name that can help you identify the API key.
    • Role: Select SIEM from the dropdown.
    • Expiration Time: Set the time the API key remains valid.
    • Status: Choose whether the API key is enabled.
    • Details: Add any extra information about the API key.
  4. Click Add to create the API key.
  5. To identify the Host Region of your Trend Micro Vision One XDR console, refer to the relevant documentation.

Grant Access Permissions

  • During the integration process, you will be prompted to grant access permissions to the application. Follow the instructions in the Trend Micro management console to complete this step.

Finalize the Integration

After granting the necessary permissions, follow the instructions on the Myrmex platform to complete the integration with Trend Micro. You will need to provide the following parameters:
  • Host Region: The region of your Trend Micro Vision One XDR console.
  • API Key: The API key generated from the Trend Micro Vision One XDR console.
Click the Save button to save your settings. With these steps, you will be ready to utilize the functionalities of Trend Micro within the Myrmex platform.
